Before turning to art, most of my background was in manufacturing. Throughout my progression from screen printing and drafting to mechanical designer and engineer, I was always fascinated by alternative uses for common materials. My work is often environmentalist in nature and inspiration. This is expressed through the use of recycled and repurposed materials in an effort to draw attention to our wasteful consumption of  natural resources.

I’m drawn to work where the technique is clean and visible. Even when I spend months working out a design I am happy with, I want the results to be simple and obvious.
